These advanced skills courses are specialized, and very intensive, one-day courses designed to further develop the knowledge base and outdoor skill sets of clients who spend a good deal of time traveling through, or work in the out of doors in more remote locations. The purpose of these courses is to build advanced skill sets that will increase the individual's chances of survival under less than optimal conditions in remote locations.

Beneficial Wild Plants
This plant identification course has dates in late spring, and late summer with a focus on the location, identification, gathering, and processing of useful and historically edible wild plants and their benefits. Also the threats and dangers that exist within their respective environments, and how best to approach the plants with minimal risks.

Alternative Navigation
The alternative navigation course is a course that teaches the individual to see paterns within a natural environment, and how to make improvised compasses with which they can approximate direction. One course is offered each month. Multiple courses can be taken for a better understanding of navigation in different seasons

Advanced Fire Craft
Fire Craft courses, as a general rule, are taught only in the cooler months when fires for warmth are much more likely to be necessary, However, special custom courses can be arranged at different times of the year on days other than Saturdays, or exceptions can possibly be made depending on course bookings.

Emergency Water Purification
Even in a wilderness environment very little, if any at all, of the water you will run across is safe for human consumption. Through this course you will become familiar with primitive and alternative means filter and purify water to make it as safe as possible for human consumption and minimize risks of water-borne illness.

Emergency Shelter Construction
The shelter construction course is designed to instruct the individual in techniques for constructing emergency shelters using organic materials commonly found in a wilderness environment. We will also discuss and demonstrate common portable emergency shelter systems that are available on the market.

Resource & Threat Assessment
The resource & threat assessment course is designed to teach the individual to notice the smaller details of a wilderness environment in order to determine just what one's current resources and threats are by what is littered on the ground, tracks and scat in an area, scents that travel on the breeze, and sounds that are carried on the wind
